Reflection on Tiger Woods

I usually hate Tabloid shenanigan. I could care less about Tiger Woods' life that has virtually no effect on my life. (I don't even bother to follow golf, I assume Tiger Woods' greatness just because everyone says so) I have no (or bare minimum) appreciation of Tiger Woods and his play. So when news about Tiger Woods came out, I didn't give too much thoughts into it. But I still believe his failure provides amazing insights about life.

He had a pretty wife with beautiful children, a lot of money, a successful career, favorable reputation, unbelievable talent, and fame. On the surface, he had an impeccable and glorious life that anyone will dare to dream of. Why in the world, would he risk all these for ephemeral pleasure? Why couldn't he have been a happy and satisfied person for what he had? I do have a hard time to get my mind wrap around why he did what he did.

It is so telling that seemingly-perfect Tiger Woods had tremendous amount of void in his heart. I'm not really sure what it is like to be Tiger Woods, but I have no doubt that his life is equally stressful (if not more) than any other person in this world. F
requent traveling...very intensive and super competitive golf tournaments...millions of people watching him constantly...hours of practices.

It got me thinking that if everyone is subject to the difficulties of life, what is the X-factor that make people overcome? Money, fame, glory, amazing career, or talents? Do these things have any worth dedicate one's entire life if they can't save you?
